RAW Thread for November 2nd.

Also, I like how the SAME people who complain that no new talent ever gets elevated and RAW and that RAW has a severe shortage of heels, are complaining about Sheamus' push.

I've heard nothing but good things about this guy: hard worker, attends events even when he's not billed to study technique and learn the business better, is handy with the mic even when the material they write for him is generic, and is proficient in the ring as well. There's a reason why the company moved him from ECW to RAW. It takes time to build heat, but Sheamus is well on his way. You people just need to give him a chance before you start bitching.

It's not like Sheamus is some overpushed rookie, either. He's been wrestling since 2001. Dude has experience and knows wrestling, it'll just take a bit before he and the crowd get adapted to each other.

Do I think he's the next Austin? No. But at the very least, I think he could be a good foil for a strong babyface champ. Someone who could be good in the Umaga role, for lack of a better term.

Exactly, but I think his long term success is going to depend on how they allow this character to develop. He could have a very unique gimmick going with a strong international appeal. He definitely stands out, which is usually a good thing for a pro-wrestler.

I wish Evan Bourne was used better. I'm not saying he needs a title now, but I'd like to see him used better then some guy they seem to just toss out there.

Noble made Sheamus look very good. After seeing Sheamus and Goldust have their feud, I wasn't a Sheamus fan after seeing him mess up once or twice and get beat by Goldust. RAW, and even SD, need more mid carders, so Sheamus looks like he'll be pushed that way quickly.

The divas battle royal only showed me that the women wrestling talent is pretty thin. I guess that doesn't matter, since Vince only cares about their looks and not what they can do in the ring.

Glad to see Jericho pin Cena, even if it was a triple threat match.

I thought Ozzy was good, but the talent part of the show was just awful.

Sheamus has been great since his time in IWW he just gets better and better and he's making all the right friends in WWE (he regularly works out with HHH) theres a great story in powerslams interview with trips this month where he mentions sheamus turned up at this house show he wasnt booked on and had his gear with him just in case he was needed and trips loves that kinda dedication.

The Osbournes weren't bad, either. It's kinda hard to complain about Raw this week, especially with Jericho NOT getting his *** kicked in his match and pinning Cena for a change.

That would be an awesome double team finisher if Jericho and big show used the walls/camel clutch more often. I can see Undertaker tapping to it and it doesnt count because they would be no winner, then jericho and big show argue, brawl then undertaker picks up the win. Damn DX interupting the hold, glad they got a KO punch and a codebreaker for there troubles. At least jericho seems credible again.

I agree that it would be a cool double team finisher, but since whoever isn't the legal man is only allowed in the ring for 5 seconds at most, it wouldn't really work. Well, I guess they could have the opponent tap super quick like they do with Cena, but I still don't see them using it often. I also hope that they don't have Taker tap to that then still win the match. They did a finish like that before and it made no sense. If the champ taps out to two people at the same time, he should be eliminated from the match or the title should be vacated. There should be no way for the champ to tap and still win the match.

I thought Raw was a pretty good show this week.

I've started enjoying DX a lot more in the last few weeks, and found them more entertaining than when they first re-united a couple of months ago. Good opening segment, but it was slightly annoying with Sharon saying "really" all the time.

I liked the Raw's Got Talent segment, but Masters' act was both weird and funny at the same time. It was certainly more entertaining than any of Chris Masters' matches.
