Darren,

How much did you pay for your demo? Did you guys do that on your own?

I like it, but I can't understand the vocals very well at all. Maybe she needs to sing a little louder?

Sorry it took me so long to finally give it a listen, I kept forgetting :(

I did it on my own. I know the mixing isn't great as I'm still getting use to the new stuff I got and haven't had a chance to use until now. It'd turn out much better once I get drum mics and the ability to work everything properly and the right way.

Good deal. How many tracks do you have to work with?

I'm just using a computer I built and a Break Out Box (The M-Audio Delta Series to be exact). I just record every part individually (of course, which would be Drums/Bass/Rhythm Guitar/Rhythm Guitar 2 if needed/Lead Vocals/Lead Guitars) and go from there really. My plan this year is to actually get everything to record decently, and hopefully a good space to do it in.

Yeah, the vocals aren't BAD, it's just that I can't hear the girl well.

edit: The music is great though, I will agree

She's actually good. She hasn't been in a band before so this is all new to her, and recording is a completely different beast for her. Live and in practice she's really good.

Pretty righteous stuff man. I'm not usually into heavy stuff but I can appreciate this.

I had my buddy, who is pretty into music, listen to your stuff and he said the following:

they're terrible

it's boring

sounds like every other high school drummer in a "metal" band

it doesn't stand out at all

i mean, it can be done, but it's really tough to do it well

http://www.myspace.com/thefelonwindband

good example of druming

drumming

so many fills and interesting things to listen to

That sounds like run-of-the-mill Noisecore.

Cool. My very first band did something similar, and our first "quality" demo was done on a 16track.

I was just curious if you were recording for yourself, or if you were using that for gigs and show trades?
